Time off...

Well, it's offical. I shouldn't take vacation days. I haven't even reached it (I took tomorrow off so I could have a 4 day weekend) and I'm bored. I apparently don't relax well. I cleaned the house... attempted to find the matches to all my socks (you know the ones that go into the dryer and are eaten by George, the universal sock eating monster). I don't know how I mangaged to accumulate the amount of clothing I have when I hate shopping... I found a band t-shirt with kermit the frog on it... I was going to wash the car but it's raining here... So, now I guess I will have to decide if I want to watch Season 3 of Bones again (cause the season finale made my head spin around and explode) or it I should try and watch some of Doctor Who Series 3... Boredom is not my friend...  *sigh*  I need a hobby... other than being extremely obsessed with many different fandoms. That doesn't help unless there is a convention of some sort going on...

Help!

Ok, I can't decide which Kanji I want to get for my new Tattoo. If it helps, I plan to put it on the back of my neck above my triquetra.

These are the ones I've narrowed it down to:

(Which means Forever)

(Which means Love)

(Which means Peace)

Worst day ever

Today SUCKED!!! Short of being forced to listen to Evita round the clock (the one with Madonna), everything that could have gone wrong, did go wrong. It's the last posting day of the month, so of course accounting is in a frenzy. All money in the office, balance adjustments, cancels and so on have to be processed and applied to accounts so that we have a accurate reading of the numbers for the month. Then, because Jorge, our IT guy, was in Fresno today, the server crashed, killing the network. So, not only was it impossible for accounting to do anything, all the phones are ringing and we can't help anyone, cause all the computers run off the network and our collecting system is completely dependent on the server. Why does it always have to happen when the person who can fix it is not in the office??? And then we had to fire Kelly, on of the girls in my department. I say we like I had to do it, which I didn't. I was supposed to be in the meeting. But lucky for me,, at the last minute, I realized that we had scheduled a conference call with a client at the time that they were doing this. So I took the conference call while they did that. But, I was having anxiety attacks all day because I knew it was happening and no one else in the department did. It's one of those things where you want to know, but you also don't because it's stressful. So, now I have knot in between my shoulder blades that is never going away...

Went to the Ren Faire with Emily, Rei, Jessica, Cat, and Steven this weekend. It was a lot of fun. Pretty stuff, cute little kids dressed up in period costumes. Nexy year I want to take Alexis! She will love it!!! I found the cutest onesie for Evei. It has the pirate skull and crossed swords with "Yo ho ho" underneath it, and says PIRATE on the butt. So cute!

I hope everyone is well!!!!! *tacklehugs all*

YAY!

My sister is bringing that babies to visit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *Does a happy dance of  joy bouncing around like a hill-billy kid who stumbled into daddy's meth lab*  I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!  I haven't seen them in almost 6 weeks! I didn't get to go up for Alexis's 7th birthday last weekend because I had to work, so I am going to take her out to do whatever she wants while they are here. Ethan wants to go to build a bear workshop, so I will probably take them both.  Evie is trying to sit up already, at two months! She does this thing where it looks like she trying to do a sit-up and she just can't quite make it all the way... It's great!

Well, other then that, all I have to talk about is work, and even I don't want to read that....

I need a nap...

Wow, it's been a very long time since I posted anything. That's the problem with being an adult. People want you to be responsible and do stuff. I'm almost 6 months into my new job and I love it. We've had a 2 people leave since I started and so now, aside from other girl, I have been there the longest! Which is really weird. I love the job though, and all the people I work with, well most of them, are so great. One of the greatest things is that everyday I learn something new and get new responsibilities, so it's never boring. We are always busy, so the days go by quickly and work is fun. Today was slipper day at work today. We all got to wear slippers and I wore donkey (from shrek) slippers. Espi (our training manager) work sponge bob square pants ones, it was great! Of course there is always going to be one person who has to be negative... There's this women in accounting, she just turned 29 or 30 this month, so she isn't that much older then me, but everyone else is talking and telling me how neat they thought my slippers were, and she walks past me and says "Over kill, girl, over kill". I felt like telling her that if she didn't have anything nice to say, she should just not say anything at all. I think she is just being mean because on wends.  Kelly (the only girl who has been in Ops longer then me) had an allergic reaction to something she eat and her lips and face started to swell (she looked like Hitch, for those of you who have seen that movie) and people kept coming in and out and talking and laughing about it. I really didn't think it was something to laugh at but it didn't bother Kel, so I didn't say anything. But the Misty-Dawn (the women from accounting) came in, and she is just so loud. And Tony and I are trying to answer phones, we couldn't hear a thing! So I asked, and I wasn't rude or mean, if everyone would mind being quieter, and she looked at me as if I had asked her to give me her kidney. Apparently, she thinks that anyone who hasn't worked for the company as long as she has can't even ask her to be polite But other then her really I love everyone at work. There's a woman named Milli in legal who is so awesome. She just brightens my day by talking to me. And my immediate boss's, Yvonne, Trish, and Wendy are just the greatest people I have ever had the privilege to work for. They are so supportive and helpful and I know that I can always go and get help from them. I have never enjoyed a job more. We just had a new marketing guy join the company, and apparently he's very big in the collection scene. He's bringing in so much business; it's very hard to believe how fast the company is growing. It's estimated that he will bring in a billion dollars in revenue over the next 2 years.  They are already spending money like crazy people. New phone systems, hiring more employees, you name it. It's going to be interesting.

On a less good note, my Uncle Jerry passed away. I don't even know what to say... My grandmother is devastated, my mom doesn't seem to know what to do, and I feel completely useless. I never know what to do or say with these situations. Uncle Jerry was sick my whole, so I know that it shouldn't have been a surprise, but since he's been sick my whole life, I just didn't expect it. He has a lot of problems, he was manic/depressive, had schizophrenia, congestive heart failure and a lot of other things. I saw him 8 months ago, and he thought I was my mom. My grandfather passed away a couple years ago, and my uncle has been saying since then that he just wants to go be with his dad. The wake is tomorrow. It's awful; I just hope he is happier now.

Ethan (my nephew) is so big now!!! He's 2. I can't believe how much he's talking and he is so creative! He loves the piano. I'm hoping Melissa might get him lesson after the baby is born!  Yep, I'm going to be an aunt again. Melissa is having number 3. We find out if it's a girl or a boy on September 5th. 5 days before me birthday!! Alexis started the 1st grade last week. I can't believe how fast they are growing up. It's amazing. They are so much fun though. Ethan calls me May-May because can't say Megan.

Well, I'm sure I could find more to babble about like Harry Potter book 7 or movie 5 but I don't want to mess with the cuts and I also don't want to spoil people....

Well, after a month at my job I still really like it.  Everyone is really nice, and it's going really well. I've been told several times that I'm going a great job, which is nice to know, seeing as how its so nerve wracking to wonder if your doing well at a new job. I've been so busy lately though. We are swamped at work, so it's been a crazy way to learn everything. I feel like everything was kind of thrown at me to see how much I could catch, even though I know that not true.  So, stressful but good.

Is that a technical term, jiggery-pokery?

Well, week two of the new job. Seems like it's going to be a good place to work, even if they are a little strange at times. Everyone in that office is obsessed with American Idol, and since I've never watched it at all, let alone this season, there are several times a day when I have no idea what/who they are talking about. And then, of course, they have all these weird terms for things. They call the excel spreedsheet some weird 9 word term, and I'm like, "oh the spreedsheet"?. I never did understand making something more difficult then was needed. Oh well, maybe it's just me...

But  the thing I like most is that I am always busy, and time goes by fast, which is awesome! I hate it when your at work and time goes by really slow and you are sitting there thinking that it's never going to end... Nothing else to report... lots to do, not a lot of time, and now I have to go finish proof reading something for a friend! :)

When life gives you lemons, take aim and hit the people who are annoying you

Well, my new job is good!  It's data entry and office management, so it's not a huge party or anything but everyone is really nice. I'm thrilled with the hours though, I never realized how much I loved having an 8am-5pm job, until I didn't have one. I like that I don't have to get up at 4am anymore! *happy dance of joy*

There isn't a lot to tell though. Nice people, nice hours, good pay, weekends off! I'm happy.

Alexis started playing softball, she loves it. She's good too!!! The seaside stars is the name of her team. It's so much fun to watch her. Other then that, not much going on. I'd like it to be May already ( pirates and season two of the magnirficent seven....it's gonna be a good month), but since I haven't built the time machine yet, I guess I have to wait.  *mumbles to herself about stupid physics and univeral laws*  Where is the TARDIS when I need it?

**JUMPS UP AND DOWN LIKE A HILL BILLY KID WHO JUST STUMBLED INTO DADDY’S METH LAB**

I got a new job today! I’m soooooooo happy, seeing as that means I will no longer have to get up at 4am. It also helps that I will be making WAY more money, I will have health insurance, and it’s a Monday thru Friday 8-5 job, so I can go places on weekends, and plan things because I will know what hours I have to be at work! I might actually get to have a social life! I can’t believe it!!!

Alexis just turned 6, which amazes me. I can’t believe she’s 6 years old. Ethan will be two in July. They are growing up too fast, it’s crazy. Aaron is doing a lot better, he's healing from the accident really well. Faster then I thought he would, but he's really healthy, the Navy kind of insists on that, so he's doing really well.

This weekend was a lot of fun, even though my nephew did try and knock me out. Not really, he was dancing with his singing frog, and ran toward me, when I picked him up, I got smacked in the forehead with the battery holder in the singing frog. Nice bruise. ;) I got to hang out with Emily and Rei, which was lots of fun, seeing as how it's been forever since I had seen them. Alexis kept asking me how the easter bunny get into the house if the alarm was on, and I told her to ask her parents. If she'd asked about Santa I had an answer, but that one I wasn't prepared for. She also asked me; "What do they call french fries in france, auntie Megan?" I told her, "Fries." and she says, "No, your supposed to say, 'What?'" I forgot that when your talking to a 6 year old, you aren't supposed to know the answer to their jokes....

NEW PIRATES MOVIE SOON!!!!! AND THE SECOND SEASON OF M7 WILL BE OUT IN MAY !!!! AND THE NEW HARRY POTTER BOOK!!!!!

I’m glad the Harry Potter book is coming out that weekend, my cousin is getting married and having book 7 will give me a reason to avoid my family.  I love my family, but it never ends up as well as everyone thinks it will when we all get together.

Well, that’s pretty much it for what’s going on in my life. Not interesting, but I’m excited to start my new job on Monday.

Long Weekend

Wow, this was a long weekend. On friday, in the afternoon, I got a phone call saying that my brother-in-law had been involved in a hit and run accident while on his bike and that he was on the way to the ER. Melissa was hysterical, and she wasn't sure she had someone to watch the kids and she didn't want them at the hospital in case something was really wrong...

So my mom, and Amanda (My other sister) and I got in the car and headed up to Monterey as fast as we could. We got there about 10 and picked up Alexis and Ethan from one of my sister friends house. Alexis was hysterical. She didn't know what was happening only that Daddy was hurt and at the hospital with mommy. Ethan, as babies can, could tell that there was something wrong, so he was cranky and upset.

We went to Melissa's house and I got Ethan to go down and sleep, and Amanda managed to get Alexis down. No one got any sleep. But Aaron is going to be ok. It turns out that what the police thought was a hit and run, wasn't.

This is what happened:

My brother in law has this really high tech bike that has to go into the bike shop every couple of months to make sure all the hydrolics and brakes and everything are working. On thrusday, he picked up the bike from the shop. He rides all the time and he goes pretty damn fast. Well, he was on the busy main road coming home and all the sudden his front tire went flying off the bike and he went over the handle bars. He landed on his left side, for the most part, his face hit, his helmet broke (thank god he was wearing one or he'd be dead) he's covered in contusions, he broke his shoulder and his collar bone, one of his ribs broke and punctered his lung and he had a massive concusion. They found out about the rib and lung when they made him pass out. He was telling the doctor that his chest hurt. She they were going to do a chest x-ray, which are usually taken standing up. When they tired to have him stand, it forced his rib out of the lung and he passed out. They did a cat scan and tons of test.

They sent him home the next day, which is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. But since he's in the navy, the hospital out in town will only keep him if he's critical since they are not sure that navy medical will pay the bills. We were pissed, he shouldn't have been released. This morning he was nueasas and short of breath and felt really weak. They kept telling him that he has to be careful cause a sneeze or cough or even a deep breath could cause the hole in his lung to became larger or tear open or something. Doctors are stupid, he should still be at the hospital.

I guess the important thing is that Aaron is going to be ok. I've informed him he is never allowed to ride a bike again, seeing as how when they were stationed in Japan, he was hit by a car while on his bike and had to go to the ER.

Now, I'm just tired...

Yes, I'm alive... At least somewhat....

Hey All! I know it's been forever since I've updated my journal... I have been so busy. I am working 4 jobs and still trying to find some way to have a social life, which doesn't leave a lot of time for the computer! I actually only have the time to update right now because I promised a friend (who is having a hard time and going through a divorce) that I would watch her 2 girls for the afternoon, cause she had to work. So, they wanted to watch a movie, and I decided to take the time to check my e-mail and update my journal.

I hope that everyone is good! I am working at Jamba, and I was hired as a manager at the coffee place across the street from the local college, I am doing my extern hours for my pharmacy tech license (which is almost done, thank the gods) and I am doing a graphic design project for a local business, a salon, who's owner is a friend of my family. It's crazy! I feel like I am running around constantly and I never get a break. I am in the process of talking to everyone and making it so that I get at least 1 day a week off (the SAME DAY) at all the places. Otherwise, my head will spin around and explode!

That's pretty much it for me... My life is not very exciting right now... Work work and yes, more work!

*hugs to all*

Lets stop this whirly gig of fun.... I'm dizzy

Lots of long days lately. 10 Hours at work and then 4 or 5 hours at school. I think my brain took a vacation and didn't tell me! At least I made it through yesterday, which was midterms. Now, I just have to get through the next 9 days til I actually have a day off.

It's crazy at work right now. We had to suspend on guy for sexual harassment( we can't fire him til an investigation is done), on of our managers told us he wasn't going to work for all of last week and most of this one because his mom couldn't drive him to work and he didn't want to take a bus (he's 20 years old!! Drive yourself and find someone!,) and another manager has another job so she only wants certain hours. So the store is open from 6am-10pm and with basically only me and Jovanna to run it. (*sigh*)

*deep breath* alright, time to get ready for work.

*throwing blenders*

Ok, most of the time I like my job!!! Really, I do. The people I work with are great, with the exception of the guy who sexually harasses everyone, although he is on suspension til further notice, so I have to rearrange everyones schedule for this week. This morning was the MORNING FROM HELL!!!!! Being management at Jamba is actually a great job, but only if other people do there jobs. I opened this morning, which means I got up at 4am. Now, I am NOT a morning person! Not at all. So, I got to work this morning, and found that the manager who closed last night hadn't done their job. Nothing was done, the store was dirty, which means I have to spend my entire morning catching up with what the other person didn't do. And of course, the person I was supposed to open with was 1/2 an hour late. So, we started off really bad this morning. And of course, our General Manager left last week, so while they are training our new General Manager, the women who runs our hanford store is filling in. Everything in the district calls her the Jamba Nazi! So, I am trying to do my morning paperwork, which I can't do because she is sitting at the desk talking on her cell phone. Then, I'm trying to count the deposit and she's like "here, I will help!" Well, two people can't count the same stack of money at the same time!!! I wanted to kick her. So then one person calls in sick, another is late, and Zach at are are completely swamped, on rush after another. We had four $600 hours one right after another. I wanted to throw blender at customers because of course no one wants to wait more then 30 seconds and that's just not the way the world works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GAH!!!! I worked a nine and a half hour shift today and I didn't take a break. Factor in the HUGE bruise on my arm (it's almost 4 inches long and 2 across and no I don't know what I did to cause it) which I bumped on every surface in the store. When I finally got to leave, I just wanted to fall asleep in my car!!!!!!!!!

What happened about me?

Wow, I haven't updated in forever!!! I've been at school and work so much lately that I don't even remember what a break feels like!!! This is my first day off from work in 19 days, and I still have to go to class this afternoon. My birthday was on Sunday, I spent most of my day at work, but it was still a good day. Although, I don't want to be in charge anymore... being in charge of the people I work with is almost like being a mom! I have to hold every ones hands and make sure that they do what is necessary. Running a store is not a lot of fun.

My birthday was uneventful but still good. My mom made the best best best cake!!!! I didn't really do much besides work, I was going to take a couple of days off, but that didn't happen because we are getting a new General Manager for our store and we need all the Assistant Managers to be there to pick up the slack. So, I have informed them that I am going to be gone over halloween and I am going up to see my older sister, niece, and nephew. If the store falls apart while I am gone, so be it!

A Pirates Life for me!!!

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest is the coolest thing ever!!! It was such an awesome movie! We went to the mid-night showing at the El Capitan in Hollywood, dressed, of course, as pirates. I think we scared the normal people, although we were certainly not the only ones dressed up. Of course, that was just the first time we saw it! We saw it twice in 24 hours. We watched, went home, slept for a little while, got up, and went to see it again. Now, as for the movie:

I was worried that the second movie could not possibly be as good as the first one, but they managed it. It’s a must see!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As for us, we had an awesome time. GO SEE IT NOW!!!!

On Saturday we went to Santa Monica and the Harry Potter Whimsic Alley, which was really awesome. I bought a wand, which made me very very happy!!!!!!!!! It’s very pretty and I got some Harry Potter candy for collection, a key chain of Harry and Ron in there dress robes, and a neat little wooden chest. It’s pretty. We also found a small British grocery store, which was neat!!!

All and all, it was a fun weekend. The movie was the best! Like I said, go, watch, now and over and over!!!!!! :)
